Our Story | Lupita's Valley

A Mother-Daughter Kitchen
We're Lupita and Carla Cruz-Calderón. In 2021, we closed our previous restaurant, Tarahumara, and reopened as Lupita's Valley — a chance to dig deeper into the flavors and traditions that define our family's roots.

Recipes Rebuilt From Memory
Our menu is rooted in Michoacán. The Enchiladas Catalinas are named after a woman from Lupita's hometown. The mole micha-poblano bridges two regional traditions in one deeply layered sauce.

Old Town Square, Heart and Soul
The walls of our dining room feature original paintings by Neyda de la Peña — each one available for purchase. It's a gathering place as much as a restaurant.
